During the production process, Sealed Mica Nozzle Heaters are hermetically sealed for liquid plastic. A specialised fitting constructed of 1 mm thick brass or stainless steel, without welding, protects the connection between the heating element and the leads, enabling high mechanical strength in the heater’s most delicate location.
In order to provide high insulation, excellent thermal exchange, the absence of internal cavities, and a flawlessly smooth contact surface for an optimal and uniform heat transmission to every portion of the nozzle, the Sealed Mica Nozzle Heaters are subjected to exceptionally high pressure during manufacturing.
Depending on the application, the Sealed Mica Nozzle Heaters come in Brass or Stainless Steel versions. When moulding or extruding PVC, it is advised to use stainless steel nozzles because they are better able to tolerate the corrosive vapours.
